Good to see this plan to make NZ predator free by 2050
Department of Conservation … goals for Predator Free 2050… focus on … possums, … rats, stoats, ferrets and weasels.
That’s a great start. I wonder how it will affect rabbits? We have so many unwanted predators here.
@Miraz We need to introduce foxes to eat the rabbits. And then cougars to to eat the foxes, and then gorillas to eat the cougars, and finally introduce a pathogen to kill the gorillas. It’s a fool proof plan.
(Yes, the rabbit problem is going to be really interesting. May need to use viruses)
