@Gaby @macgenie And one event recently that should reinforce this is the exodus from Tumblr. People were stuck with name.tumblr.com stuck having redirect people, with varying success, to a new address.
@Gaby fwiw, I don't have a separate domain for my micro.blog, I just have a separate subdomain on my existing blog domain.
