<p>More from Ursula Franklin:</p>

<p>The early phase of technology often occurs in a take-it-or-leave-it atmosphere. Users are involved and have a feeling of control that gives them the impression that they are entirely free to accept or reject a particular technology and its products. But when a technology, together with the supporting infrastructures, becomes institutionalized,...

@kfitz Ha! I have been trying to get kfitz.info to syndicate here, posting whenever I publish, and it has been an interesting challenge. It's required me to learn GitHub actions, 11ty json feeds, and a few other details besides. Still not quite there: I need to strip the html and add a link to the post. But it's sooooooo close...

@kfitz Hello! I've been following your work for some time. I have a copy of Generous Thinking on my bookshelft at work. Do you have any reading recommendations for someone who is interested in Ursula Franklin?

@will I'm in the midst of Franklin's *The Real World of Technology*, which is the first of her work I've read. Deb Chachra's *How Infrastructure Works* is what persuaded me to pick it up - highly recommended!

@kfitz thank you! I've heard good things about Real World. And I actually have a copy of Chachra's book too. I do actually get around to reading these books eventually : )

@twwoodward Stripping the HTML turned out to be relatively easy in nunjucks. What I couldn't figure out was how to get a link into the Mastodon posts, because the Action I was using pulled directly from the blog post's content, and was otherwise black-boxed. So I've gone the Mastofeed.org route. Would have been nice to roll my own, but I'm glad this tool is out there!
