One service I don’t praise nearly as often as I should: Feedbin!

It is, as they say,

A nice place to read on the web

Now that I’m off Twitter, I find myself using it even more. Following some of the people who haven’t made it to Mastodon, yet, is great.

@maique Feedbin was an absolute game-changer for me in 2022. I've recently discovered that you could follow Mastodon users (via RSS). I believe the only caveat is that the feed doesn't include replies.

I funnel anything I can through Feedbin. Even M.b Discover, although there is friction when you actually want to reply. That's why I find myself in Gluon more often.

Another unsolicited tip: you can add your Starred items feed to your M.b timeline.

@todor I used NewsBlur for the longest time, but wouldn't read it for long periods of time. Feedbin, with all those features you mention, made me get back into RSS, just in time for the Twitter exodus.

And thank you for the tip, I hadn't thought about that, will take a look.

@maique Feedbin would be the very last subscription I would cancel. Everything goes through there. Blogs, Twitter Lists, Newsletters etc.

@maique Combine this with Unread, you can literally flip through those posts. I find it to be an enjoyable way to consume social posts or blogs.

@skoobz Thank you. I've been using Reeder for so long, I have found it hard when I tried others in the past. Will take another look, but...
