I wonder if finding anything related to Kubernetes sidecars, cluster configuration, or tools boring or unnecessary is a career limiting move. @vincent Looking forward to the day. There are a few people at work who really seem to like this sort of thing. I'm glad they do; they can get the tasks to deal with all that.

@lmika I think a lot of this server stuff is just too complicated. We lost the basic idea somewhere. I get the appeal… of course.

@vincent Yeah, I understand the new and shiny. It might be because I'm getting old and cynical but that appeal is wearing off on me. I spent a bit more time thinking about this and have updated the post with my thoughts.
