@vincent Do you have a test device or do you just use one device for both normal use and testing?

@vincent That's cool. Similar to with Colin's experiment with social media, I'm interested in the veracity of claims made by people who say they "need" more than one device for testing their software. I suppose I can understand what they mean but their reasoning seems dubious.

@issimonwoods Can understand if the multiple devices have significnatly differnet features or sizes, or if what yuo are testing is potentially destructive... most people I know with multiple test devices tend to use old devices testing. Otherwise it's just convenience.

@issimonwoods I usually just use the simulator on my machine… then I install the TestFlight version on my hand terminal. I do have a separate Android for testing though. But that’s it. I don’t think, for most use cases, you need so many test devices — just an excuse to buy the new thing.
