DigitalOcean vs Linode vs ServerCheap vs ??

@maique Try out Hetzner (referral link). It's EU based (important for mee), it's a great price for good quality servers. I use them for all my stuff. €20 credit that will get you very far (~4 - 6 months) on one of their cheapest servers - which are better than what you suggested. Email me if you have questions.
@maique btw, sorry, I think my response is not very helpful :P So I will add to the confusion. Consider AWS too.
@maique I used Linode for years. No issues. Switched to DO because it was "nicer", a bit simpler, and they were on a roll. Great docs. I'm still there. AWS has everything one could ever want, but I hate working there. Heard good things about Vultr (https://www.vultr.com) but have not tried it myself.
@jack Simple is nice, yes. And I loved their support pages, easy to follow and they have documentation for everything!
