My US e foundation phone arrived. Activation and setup was fast and a breeze. Everything works. So far I’m impressed. More after I’ve used it for a week or two.

@bradenslen I look forward to your thoughts. It is a shame that they haven't produced a smaller device, although I understand why that wouldn't be a good decision to make at the moment; hopefully they will soon be in a position to make a 'mini' of sorts, not least because I think they could do some things that the behemoths would never dare to do so.

@simonwoods I agree. There has to be a nice niche market there for a smaller smartphone handset in the Andoid OEM world.

A bit of quick news because I'm so excited. I found a way to install Gluon app for better Micro.blog access on this eOS phone. The app store that comes on the e.foundation phone did not have Gluon for MB. But the default store did have the Aurora Store app which facilitated my installation of Gluon. That was my work around. This is a huge difference as it keeps me better connected to Micro.blog. cc. @vincent

@bradenslen Thanks for the update! I’m planning to install e on an old Android phone tomorrow. Excited to try it out, and this makes it even more interesting!

@odd Please let me know how you get along!

Speaking of app stores: I also installed the F-Droid Store app full of FOSS apps. Some interesting stuff there.

@bradenslen hey Brad. I’m glad you found Gluon on your new phone. I’m looking into how I could add it to their store. I bookmarked their email address and info, so I’ll see what I have to from my end to make it a little more official.

@vincent Getting Gluon into the e store would be great. Having Gluon is a real lifesaver for me, I was not looking forward to using the MB web interface for posting. So thank you for making an Android version.
