@val Thank you. Yes, it does melt completely on that peak, depending on the year. Further up that canyon to the right there are peaks that keep some snow, I think, but Mt Tom is on the edge of the desert and that eastern-facing slope is usually down to a tiny patch in a deep canyon by late August.
