Pretty good WWDC even with most of it being spoiled by rumors. Although, I was pleasantly surprised that all the iPad improvements, including the new multitasking features, are also available on the 6th Generation iPad mini! I know that device was just replaced late last year with the A17 Pro model, but I’... nsmug.com

@nsmug I’m quite pleased with what I saw today, esp. the iPad changes. I’m also happy to see Apple go with a more 3D interface language and start moving away from the Flat look that’s held UI/UX for way too long now. I don’t know about all that fancy marketspeak around why, but it looks nice :) Lotta really good looking plans. Now for the barrage of complaints about how the “developer beta” is terribly buggy 🤣

As for backwards compatibility, I’m only losing two devices. My iPad and my Intel Mini. The iPad is a 7th gen, which is fine. I was planning on replacing it with a 9th gen anyway. The Mini is the Plex server, so it’s just peachy.

@tylerknowsnothing I do agree that the move away from flat design is refreshing. Although I do wonder if their designers really did have a bunch of glass/acrylic pieces, like in the WWDC keynote, to play with to get everything to feeling right. Feels like something Apple would do to really hone the feeling of the new design. And I have to say, after using it on my iPad today it is pretty sleek, even for a first beta.
