I’m pretty psyched about the new M4 MacBook Air! It’s very likely my next computer—my first MacBook Air ever!

It’s missing just two things that I was hoping for: a nano-texture display option and the C1 cellular modem. The modem was a longshot, but it would’ve future-proofed this Mac well for me.

@jarrod I'm not sure where you are on the Apple product spectrum, but if you have an iPhone logged into the same Apple ID, that iPhone just becomes another internet access point in your wireless menu. Just pick it from the desktop and it turns on without having to touch the phone. I use it on occasion when our ISP goes down, and have even gamed in TF2 and OW over the connection. It's not an integrated modem, but it works quite seamlessly :)

@tylerknowsnothing I’ve used that a lot, and it’s okay. But I still look forward to cellular modems everywhere!

@jarrod Hee :) I have to imagine that Apple's implementation of the C-series wireless chip is deliberately designed like their A and M parts; scalable, capable, efficient. Likely even more so, since they'll likely have versions for the Apple Watch, as well. I'm also quite sure that they're waiting to see how the 16e works under real-world conditions before they start rolling it out to more products.
