Suspicion that I’m one of the “long-covid” types is growing: my blood sugar (I’m a T1D) has been insane for the last year - mild bout, probably, last March. In the week since my J&J vaccine, blood sugar has cratered back to “in the green” stability, with insulin needs following suit.

@twweaver In the later research on diabetes, inflammation in the body is linked to it. I had diabetes (again), but after losing weight, and pulling a bad tooth with infection, I’m as good as non-diabetic.

@odd That's good to hear. I'm Type One, so I'm stuck with this until the day I die, but it's nice to have a little glimmer of hope that there was something working against me this last year that's been resolved.

@twweaver Interesting, my brother is Long Covid and is currently part of the NIH study. He hasn’t had a vaccine yet but all the family and his doctors are interested to see if it affects his brutal Long Covid.

@agilelisa I’m hopeful that this is the case for me - I’m sorry to hear about your brother’s long COVID bout; let me know how he does once he gets the vaccine.
