@twweaver I haven't seen the re-do, but I do think GF3 was under-appreciated. Coppola said that one development in the three movies was watching the rot exposed at higher and higher levels (local in #1, government in #2, Vatican in #3). My son is an opera fan and says that you can't appreciate #3 without appreciating Cavaleria Rustica. I'll take his word for it. Agreed about Sophia Coppola: it wasn't much of a part, and she did as much as could be expected. Minority opinion: I thought Diance Keaton was weak in all 3 movies.

@JMaxB I don't disagree with you about Diane Keaton, but I think her role suffered from the same foundational malady as Coppola's: a thankless role that didn't offer any actor much to work with.
