I am posting about snapchat (or at least I think I am). I’m posting because I feel like it is super weird. Poeple take weird photos of themselfs that are not good photos, they are blury, bad lighting, and half hearted. They do this so fast too like it is second nature. I just don’t understand why?

@tthing totally agree. Don’t get it at all.

@tthing @jthingelstad My daughter and I send each other quick Snaps of our food, or our dogs, or our selves every day. No reason other than to let each other know we're thinking about them. It's ephemeral and makes me smile. So for me, that's why.

@tthing @jthingelstad I use Snap with my kids for much the same reason as @jack -- it's a quick, fun, easy little way to have a tiny point of connection through our days. Same way my dad and I send each other our Wordle scores :)

@jack @Annie I think those are great reasons for it and I don't think that is the problem. The perspective I'm taking is teenagers talking to other teenagers that way. They do it in school which takes away from there learning, they do it at dinner taking away from talking to other people. I think the reasons you state are good and what it should be used for. I just think teenagers especially use it to much and at inappropriate times and it isn't good.
