Growing up, my Dad’s rule for using the phone on the weekends was “don’t call anyone before 10am on Saturdays, and don’t call anyone before 11am on Sundays.”
Times have certainly changed—now the rule is “don’t call anyone ever for any reason whatsoever”
@brooks Ours was a blanket 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. blackout. You simply didn’t call during those times, nor would you ever have anyone call you during those times.
Except for Uncle Paul. He lived in Alaska and would only get really good phone rates after 11 p.m. our time. If it rang after 11, it was Paul!
