@Annie

what i learned:

  1. Do a backup every week (monthly is not enough)
  2. Change passwords on a regular basis
  3. Don’t expect support from hosting provider to actually help you solve this problem.
  4. It’s probably worth upgrading to a paid plan with cloudflare
  5. I don’t really know anything about websites

@patrickrhone @tracydurnell Not as bad as I anticipated. Back up and running again and (I hope) more secure now

@Annie I almost said something to you yesterday but the redirect only happened once so I began to doubt it had really come from your site. Frequent injection attacks got me off of self-hosted websites many years ago. I wish you luck in rebuilding.

@pimoore Ha, it definitely seemed that way. Fortunately the fix wasn’t too tough. I get in over my head really fast with this stuff!

@gregmoore thanks, fortunately it wasn’t too tough. I’ve never had this issue before but it seems my traffic has spiked in the last year or two so I guess I need to be a bit more security conscious
