Castro podcast player seems abandoned? What have people moved to?
@sander I migrated from Castro to Overcast a couple of months ago. I simply could not stand some of the bugs in Castro that I bumped into on a daily basis. Especially with regards to airplay and AirPods connectivity.
Overcast is really stable and I’ve managed to create a Castro-ish workflow. But unfortunately it’s really not quite up to par with the Castro way of life™. Castro really is one of a kind when it comes to handling a lot of podcast subscriptions.
I really wish Castro springs back to life in some form or another. It’s, by far, one of my most used (and cherished) apps.
@jemostrom yeah it works but developers are not updating their site, the app, not social media so I’m concerned if it will get bug fixes.
@sander 🤷🏻♂️ it works now, if it doesn't in the future then I'll switch, if it continues to work then I continue to use it.
@sander I'm a long tíme Pocket Cast user and believe Matt will give it love now that Automattic owns it.
@keithpound I share a PC account with a creative team. We tag specific time points and use the compiled link list as talking points during coffee chats.
@keithpound The only snag I've encountered with Pocket Casts occurs when it's sometimes unable to access private audio feeds.
