📱Anybody using the Punkt MP02 in the US? Would love to hear from you, especially around how well the Signal implementation works.

@toddgrotenhuis Scratch that. It looks like they've stopped supporting security updates and are pushing folks to their newer fuller-feature phone.
@todd I’m not using it the US, but think that is separate from the Signal implementation (pigeon as it’s called). Check the Reddit community for reviews; the support is not stable, and fixes taking some time.
I was excited with pigeon on Punkt, but T9 input and the small screen really are a point of friction. That might be something you can actually see as USP. (1/2)
@todd Whenever I switch to my Punkt, it’s because I want to switch to the most essential feature of my phone; a phone number. This phone offers that. It’s stylish, and therefore pricey. I wouldn’t buy it again, as there are cheaper ways to be available for calls and texts.
All this only is relevant if your phone actually will work in the US, I hope someone else can tell you that (it’s a question you’ll certainly find answered in the Reddit too) (2/2)
