@Mtt Do you know of a good guide for moving a plex install from a NAS to a Mac mini setup like you have?
Basically, just want to make sure all the media, ratings, playlists come across ok.
@toddgrotenhuis I never found a definitive guide, but ChatGPT got me through it. It basically went like this:
- Get a HD with matching capacity to NAS Plex Installation. Format it to work with Mac.
- Transfer Plex files from NAS to Mac Mini connected HD. Depending on size, it could take a while. Took mine about 32 hours.
- Install Plex Server on Mac Mini, point it to the libraries, and you’re good to go.
There is a little nuance I’m missing there, but that’s the basics. I even managed to get the -arr suite, sabnzbd, and FileFlows rolling too.
