I know surprisingly lot about public transportation systems and sewers just for writing related software.

I wonder what are the things you know a lot about through work but are not strictly speaking your expertise?

@tkoola I probably know more than the average person about death, saying our final goodbyes and products related to funerals, thanks to our family business. We manufacture caskets, urns, and so on for the funeral industry in Scandinavia.

To get to know a little about a lot, at least when we have a diverse set of clients, is a neat perk of being a developer. Lots of rabbits holes to jump into. I'd bet there are plenty of interesting aspects about sewers.

@sod that is actually what I loved about my former job. Unfortunately my clients were not so diverse over the long run.

@tkoola yep :-) It is now in my past and I'm back to my roots in the sparky sector – in the background still on the developing end. And I forgotten one sector in my list yesterday: Aviation also needs to go onto the list. Not as much as I would have liked but still interesting.

@Annie I forgot, I also did gain some experience in medical studies! I mostly remember the bits that make me not want to do it ever again 😒
