@tkoola Yeah, it does seem to be an issue, the fact that there are way more talented creators than "the market" has the ability to provide for! It makes me think it's such a shame our modern ideas of "valuable uses of time" are so tied to making money in the first place… there's just so much joy in creating and sharing even without making it a business.

@jayeless @tkoola @munish Most people need money to live, and have to spend 8h+ a day, 5d/week to make that happen. Those hours may not even be largely enjoyable.

On your spare time, however, if you have the excess energy, you are free to do the things that give you the most satisfaction. It could be only one thing, or it could be many things, but I think the main thing is that it have to be ultimately enjoyable. I’ve been thinking about how I, as a now 52yo, don’t have that many weeks left in me. (Have recently bought “4000 weeks”). I hope you get back into your writing, or anything else that gives you joy.

@timapple yes, and there probably is a lot more completely worthless content out there right now than there was before. But volumes are very high and that means that there is a lot of at least good enough content coming out all the time as well. And the old content doesn't go anywhere, but sticks around competing with new content.

@jayeless Yes! I think we (as a society) need to find ways to be just creative and not immediately start finding hustle opportunities
