@matti I like the books more, but have only seen a little bit of season 1 and read 5 or 6 of the books
@matti interesting question, I've mostly thought that TV series are a good presentation of the worlds the book give more detail on. There are some slight spoilers below, so reader beware:

Things I love about the series * Language of the belters is 💯 in the TV series * Extended presence of (mostly non-men) characters that are less prominent in books * Nailing the two main men characters and their casting * Razorback ship design
Things I don't think TV series can help: * Lot's of details get thrown out (as would be expected) * Not sure I like all the ways how Bobbie was changed for the series
All and all TV series is an excellent adaptation of this book series. I'd say as books they are a bit on the light side in the writing but world building is top notch.
