Moved all my static sites back to Netlify. Previously on Cloudflare Pages. Went very smoothly. Also managed to move all S3 object storage away from Cloudflare R2 and over to Backblaze B2. What a night and day difference so far. Still a lot of work with domains to-do. Year plan.

@vincent Interesting. Just curious, night and day difference in terms of what, exactly? Speed, UI / config ease of use?

@tiff I like the idea that Cloudflare can handle so much of what I need… but I’ve been growing ever more suspicious of vendor lock in. Plus their support has been really bad as of late, so it’s not great. So part of this year I want to diversify a little. cc// @andreipopa

@andreipopa night and day as in speed for website builds. Netlify really rocks and is super fast. Cloudflare Pages is good, but there is much they could still do. And the fact the won’t let me point a domain not hosted on Cloudflare is silly. The Netlify UI is nice, although they do like to push extras down you…but it’s ok to ignore for most part. Just super nice and easy to read.

@andreipopa oh and one more, the pricing is so much more transparent on either of the services. With B2 I already know what I’m paying at the end of the month.
