@ridwan Yes, me too. I'm sure the turnout for these local elections would be disappointingly low, even without any extra barriers to the ease of voting 🤔

@thedimpause Sad truth innit? We don't vote much and then complain when numpties get elected.
@thedimpause Doesn’t a ID with a “SSN” suffice? I haven’t heard anything about we doing this here…
@odd No, not for us, now all voters definitely need a valid form of photo ID for most UK elections.
@thedimpause what do you make of the photo ID requirement? Did it stop all the election fraud that’s been taking over the whole place?
@writingslowly What electoral fraud? And any evidence of fraud that I have seen mentioned with any evidence has been related to postal voting rather than in person.
A total of 9 cases of alleged personation fraud were recorded by police forces in 2023.
(that was 2 in person, 6 postal and 1 proxy)
