Every American would be basking in luxury, or at least square meals and healthcare, if our government only thought that investing in ourselves was more prudent than destroying everybody else. A country led by self-proclaimed “fiscal conservatives,” no less. They’re throwing our riches away.

@danielpunkass This has been on my mind a lot recently, and not just in an American context. The planet belongs to all of us, and the birds, animals, insects, plants… These powerful men are extracting resources that could sustain us all and not only destroying those resources, but using them to destroy other resources (people, landscapes etc). Apart from the grief for the living beings who are suffering, it is a criminal waste of what can sustain life on this planet.
