@the Your item about folks threatening lines workers — "some fed-up and frustrated residents taking out their anger on repair workers who are trying to restore power across the city." — put me in mind of an article I read recently about Kiwis abusing and threatening their local Councillors. Terrible behaviour on all counts. Ah, found it: Councillors and staff facing the rising tide of online abuse.
@Miraz Thanks — I couldn't resist & skimmed it already! We've had similar problems here in New Brunswick, Montreal, and Ottawa IIRC. I’ll see if I can find the references tomorrow but I think they're essentially the same thing.
Can you comprehend the mindset of the abusers? I certainly can’t. How is democracy supposed to work with this kind of environment?
