Saw the new Venom movie this afternoon with the kids. Fun enough, kids really liked it. I think I may just be done with super hero origin stories at this point. Nothing really new.
@stevepbrady Yeah, that’s one thing I like about the recent MCU movies. Example: The spider-man and black panther movies weren’t origin stories. Instead it’s just the first story we see, we pick up in the middle of their story rather than the beginning.
@EddieHinkle Agreed. I think origin stories are just easier for studios to come up with. Lazy writing at the end of the day. For a completely different take on the whole super hero thing I did see the preview for the new Mr Glass. That looks fantastic.
@stevepbrady Oh wow interesting. I might have to look into the first two movies in that trilogy. They did a good job marketing them as thrillers. I sometimes shy away from thrillers when they get too close to “horror” so I avoided those movies not knowing much about them until now.
