So I have this idea. What if there were a service that combined your consumed things into one feed. It’d ingest RSS from, say, Letterboxd, Album Whale, and Goodreads. It would display this unified feed simply, and maybe allow some tagging. Perhaps it should be built…

@bjhess Sounds a little bit like what Eleventy have done with 11ty/eleventy-activity-feed

@bjhess I would 100% pay for something that wrapped up all my various feeds into one easy to read platform.

@rknightuk That’s really interesting. Thanks for sharing! My thought for this one would be to have a feed of one’s more considered consumption, so it’d be a different level of stuff from social networking. Though I could see supporting pinboard, so one can add articles/links one consumed.

@stevebrady I’m thinking of a feed if what I’ve consumed. Are you thinking of a more ad hoc, combined whatever you throw at it sort of thing?

@bjhess O ok, misunderstood you. Yes I want something that takes all the feeds and puts them in one place. Not feasible I know, but a guy can dream.

@stevebrady My friends (and eventual colleagues) who started Harvest built something like this back in 2005. It was called SuprGlu and brought together a feed of Flickr, Del.icio.us, Blogger, etc. I think they stopped it after less than a year because it was a resource hog with no obvious revenue stream. It is a useful idea, though!
