Hey, I’m back with a question: How did you set up the redirect for kandr3s.co/@kandr3s to forward to kandr3s.co/activitypub/remote_follow/kandr3s?
Hey, I’m back with a question: How did you set up the redirect for kandr3s.co/@kandr3s to forward to kandr3s.co/activitypub/remote_follow/kandr3s?
@kandr3s – also, for some reason I can’t get the profile pic and side menu to render exactly like yours even though the SCSS is exactly like yours (well mostly; I changed the font and dark mode to pitch dark to help my OLED monitors)
Is there something in your configuration file that you’re calling that changes the menu now?
I think to get the sidebar and other UI elements I made small changes to the files “ui.go” and “uiComponents.go” - Please check those in the GitHub repo.
I should probably move it to a plugin like with the icons… 🤔
Loving GoBlog and its simpleness and speed so far!
Moving layout changes to a plugin would be cool to do. Another plugin idea is one where the header can have a custom microsub link added to use Aperture and Monocle which needs to have a <link rel="microsub" href="https://aperture.p3k.io/microsub/XXX"> link in the header.
as I want
Once I get the new layout and other stuff working on my current instance, maybe an onboard microsub component can be thought about, which would enable managing following blogs and activitypub accounts locally.🤔
BTW how does the syndication plug-in to work with Bridgy? Is it in the same manner as how the Syndication plugin works in Wordpress…?
u-rel-me links are ok in the config file and showing up in the headers on the site– that’s easily done in the configuration file 👍🏾syndication: mastodon/github/twitter/??? link and it’ll fire off a webmention to Bridgy and the relevant service.syndication: {url-to-post-on-other-service} and it will tell Bridgy to backfeed the blog post with comments from the other place. What’s the workflow for the current syndication plugin?
Got it!

Now I need to know why my image isn’t loading… 🤷🏾 Always something!
When posting make sure the Bridgy link is anywhere in the post body. Then manually update the “syndication” post parameter with the Mastodon/syndicated posts URLs. Bridgy should do the rest.
Those are great features to have in GoBlog for sure. ActivityPub is bit too technical for me, but I think I’m gonna add a Microsub link option to a customUI plugin or something…
That’s part of the fun of the IndieWeb isn’t it? There’s always something 😅 Are you setting up a profile image from the Settings or in the config file? Not sure what could be happening there 🤔
