Is to adopt a new religious identity necessarily to leave the old one behind? Many—justifiably and understandably—use that language, but it’s never quite fit my own experience. I feel like I’m nitpicking when I try to explain it, though.

@bennorris Long story, but in short, I semi-recently came to difficult conclusion that my being an active Latter-day Saint was no longer right/healthy choice for my family (and me). I now attend Community of Christ, which I love, but I'll always still think of myself as "Mormon."
