@frostedechoes Not sure if I agree with that reading. The article—and many of those quoted in it—acknowledge that there's been a lot of progress. That doesn't mean there isn't yet progress to be made, though, and as much as I adore D&D, that's still the case here.
@frostedechoes In my mind, the problem is the essentialist approach to different species. Sure, it's a fantasy world, but we're inevitably (if unintentionally) going to read those differences onto human races/cultures. So long as that's there, there's a potential problem.
