One of my life failures is that I haven’t written an app that I would consider a “real” app. Sure, I’ve written many “tools” to do specific tasks, usually data conversion, but not one app for the general public.

@vincent true. It's only time that is needed ... haven't written a GUI app in 10 -15 years

@sod the first thing that came to mind right now is an app that makes it really easy to move your web site from one platform to another (for example WordPress to Hugo to Ghost to Blot to ...)

@jemostrom I am sure there'd be a market for that kind of app on Micro blog ;)

@jemostrom Could it be as an extension in Drafts maybe? That wouldn’t be a gui app of course…

@odd I don't think it would be possible since it involves file management and also handling of images. When I've done similar things I've done it as a python script (the finished program isn't large but no gui and no handling of edge cases since it was just for myself) and easy file management have been a huge help.

@jemostrom I see. I think I saw @jarrod and someone discussing file management with Pythonista and Drafts I believe, but I might be mistaken.

PS: I can’t think about the phrase “I might be mistaken”, without mentally saying it like in “La Grange”…😅
