@help I am trying to have Conversations on Micro.blog and Reply by email plugins to work on my blog, currently using the Arabica theme. Do I need a custom theme for that or am I doing something wrong?
@pcora Thanks for checking out my plug-ins. 🥰 Yes, the links won't appear automatically; you have to add them using a custom theme. Installation instructions are available for both Reply by email and Conversation on Micro.blog. Let me know if you get stuck, and I will do my best to get you unstuck.
@sod I was wondering this too. Before diving in, are there any potential side-effects / complexities we should be aware of when creating New Theme? Seems like quite a big step!
Also do you have any plans to build email obfuscation?
@warner Thanks for thinking about using my plug-ins. 😊 On top of mind, I can't think of any significant side-effects with custom themes.
And they are easy to toggle on and off. So if it goes south, you can just disable the custom theme, and everything will be back to the way it was. So, it's relatively risk-free.
Email obfuscation is definitely on the to-do list, but I don't know when I will be able to work on my open source projects. Right now, I have to prioritize my paying clients. But, usually, I will get some time off during the summer and winter holidays.
