One more from our ice escapade yesterday. And a unique behind-the-scenes look of yours truly, snapping photos in the most dignified and graceful way possible. A top-down closeup of a frozen lake. There are cracks in the frosty ice, and the photo has a delicious blue tint over it. A man standing on a frozen lake. He's holding a smartphone far away from his body in an awkward position. He's probably about to take a picture.

@timapple Well, no ice is 100 % safe, so I think your attitude is very reasonable. 😊 That said, it might look a bit scarier than it actually was. The risk was manageable: the water level is about knee-deep where I'm standing, dry land is 2–3 meters away, I had my girlfriend with me, and neighbors close by.

@ohBananaJoe sounds like a documentary on the making of a Pink Floyd album!

@sod Love both of them. I would be too scared to be standing there, even after reading your disclaimer 🀣

@maique Thanks! Well, you know, it was a high-risk, high-reward kind of project. πŸ˜‚ The reward, in this case, was a picture of me looking stupid on ice.

@sod I love your ice photo, it's so beautiful. It reminds me of a YouTuber I follow named Jonna Jinton who creates media (photos, videos and recordings) of the ice

@val Hey, thanks, what an honor to be compared with Jonna. I wish I had half her talent when it comes to ice photography. 😊

I'm more of a summer person, but I envy the kind of winters she gets up there. Living way more in the southern parts of Sweden, I have to settle for the small amount of snow and frozen lakes we get.

@sod As someone from Texas in the US, your 'small amount of snow and frozen lakes' still look absolutely magical to me πŸ˜‚
