Travel day back to the US from Bangkok, flight scheduled to leave in about six hours. It will be a verrry long day of travel. ✈ 🇹🇭 to 🇺🇸

@smokey Thanks for thinking of us, Smokey. Yes, we got home just before midnight last night and hit the hay at about 1:30 am. I slept soundly until 11:30 am & my wife until about 1:30 pm. Then we just stayed in bed until 8 pm, sleeping, catching up on reading, watching some news. Finally had to get up to eat. Jet lag is usually strong in this direction. I need to be alert by tomorrow afternoon, for the 49er game.

I was very interested to read that your grandmother was an avid bird watcher and gardener. You have good roots. 🐦

@Ron 😊 Yes, I am at least a 4th generation gardener. My grandmother had this enormous, nearly floor-to-ceiling window in her living room (with 10' ceilings), which gave her a great view of all the avian goings-on in the front yard, including at one of the feeders. One of her favorite things to do was to just sit there and watch, and it was always a delight for me, too, when I would visit 🐦

@Ron Also, glad you made it back, and here’s hoping you can get the jetlag under control some before the Forty Niners play :-)

@smokey Well I did see all the scoring in the game, only falling asleep in the 4th quarter when the Niners already had the game well in hand. They won pretty easily, as I had been execting. It was great to watch a live game, rather than a text only play by play report from CBS Sports!

@smokey Wow, that sounds like a wonderful lookout post she had there from the comfort of her own home. She certainly didn't need an Internet service to keep herself entertained! 🏡 🐦 Thanks for those additional details!
