@Gabz that place looks fun. And I’m always amazed about the low cost of American restaurant dining.
@canion the place was, interesting and it had a life of its own, food seems to be good (at least what I had really was) but the ambient and the randomness it’s fun. Very good service too!
@pratik @Gabz Isn’t GMO typically defined as gene-level modification (picking this gene over that gene in a variety, or splicing in a gene from some other variety), whereas typical hybridization is the cross-breeding of two related types, producing whatever nature decides (and even that’s on a spectrum, because there are some hybrids that persist and others that must be bred anew each year)…? They are the same thing in the broad sense, but the devil, as always, is in the details, no?
@Gabz Your visit to CA reminds me of one year we had a bunch of study-abroad students on our Model Arab League delegation; the model was held in Savannah, so one day I drove them (I think it was a wrong turn initially) across the Savannah River into SC so that they could all get out and say they’d been in SC, too, not just GA, when they went home to their countries ;-)
@smokey it was funny, because we got out of the highway and the sign read, Welcome to California. Then we turned left on the overpass, came down, Welcome to Arizona!
