Car crash at the corner on 30 July 2019
Two cars crashed on the highway at Manakau, near the intersection of Waikawa Beach Rd, about 8.40am on Tuesday
The crash blocked the northbound lane of SH1 for about an hour.

@ajennische It was easy. Write the link in the post, in the usual way, add the quoted text and then just upload a photo. It was all manual — just like writing any ordinary post.
@ajennische FYI, if you use the Micro.blog (for iOS, and possibly the Mac version, too) app to post, if you select the text (in Safari, or wherever) you want to quote, then use the Share icon to share to Micro.blog, the Micro.blog app will create the start of a new post with a link to the page, using the page title as link text, and then a blockquote with the selected text. // @Miraz
I don’t know if this is one of the tips @til has covered or not, but there are probably a number of tips and other bits of info in TIL’s archive you might find useful as a new-ish member here :-)

@simonwoods As an addendum, IIRC it only works if you’ve selected Markdown in the “When sharing URLs from other apps, include:” preference (and you have to use the bottom bar Share icon, not the “Share…“ button in the pop-up thingy that pops up when you select text).
