Listening to the new Kate Tempest album: The book of traps and lessons. I have @bsag to thank for introducing me to Kate’s music.

@vanessa FYI, if you want to generate a Micro.blog Mention from a post made on a non-hosted blog, you have to create the link yourself (fourth bullet).

(I wrote a little filter to automate it for WordPress.)

@smokey Yeah, I tend to forget that when I’m using the app I’m still not really posting from Microblog.

@vanessa That’s the beauty of the filter and part of why I wrote it; no matter where you post from, WordPress will then create the link automatically :-)

@smokey Thanks. I’ll add that to my child theme next time I’m at the Macbook. 😁

paging @joejenett - useful for JGM web mentions ?

@JohnPhilpin I don't think so. It pertains to Micro Blog mentions of a user name from a non-hosted blog which is different than the issue of JGM receiving webmentions. It's indirectly helpful in the case of a post from JGM (or any un-hosted blog) which includes a Micro Blog's username (like @joeshmoe) - in that case you have to link the user's name to the user's profile in order for it to appear as a clickable username on Micro Blog (which in effect is a type mention, but different from the 'webmentions' we're working on). I'd hope @smokey would correct me if I'm mistaken on this.

@JohnPhilpin in short form: an @-mention is different than a Webmention

@joejenett indeedy - was thinking that it is a way to save JGM contributors dropping in the whole html if they want to @name someone
