I have now been to—or at least traveled through a portion of—all the lower 48 U.S. states. Kansas is the only state where I haven’t been to a city, just traveled through.

@d0gc0w yep. North and South Dakota were the only two I hadn’t been to, and I went to both earlier this week. I don’t think I could say a favorite place because there are so many beautiful places I’ve been to.

@smokey it is. It’s not something a lot of people can say they’ve done. If it weren’t for me being a pilot, I wouldn’t be able to say it.

@jmreekes I have friends who take their kids on a trip to different natural, historical, and cultural sites each summer; they have pretty much the entire eastern US done and are starting to work on the west, with the goal of getting the kids all 48 before the first graduates HS. That's probably the other way that people achieve that. :-) (I have most of the east and almost nothing in the west, but I haven't keep a count.)

@smokey that’s a good way to do it. We’ve talked about taking a long road trip with the kids to visit some different places.
