I came home from work, went to the supermarket, came back from the supermarket… only to realise I have my UK keys with me not my Austrian ones! So I’m standing outside with a heavy bag of shopping waiting for my boyfriend to come home from work 🤦♀️
@macgenie @rosemaryorchard A few years ago, I locked my keys in the car in the grocery store parking lot…because I had a set of keys in my pocket—my office keys. (Fortunately, I realized as soon as I exited the car, so no groceries, and I had my phone, so I could call my parents and get a list of phone numbers of people nearby who weren’t on vacation who could come take me to get my spare key.)
Since then, I have started carrying my office keys in my other pocket to avoid confusion—as well as, over time, somewhat-obsessively making sure I have my keys and my phone before I close the car door!
