The Sahara from the air. Nothing but deep ochre and blue as far as the eye could see.

@cheri It was incredible. I queueing to use the toilet on the plane and saw this out of the window. Gradually I realised it must be the Sahara and dashed back to get my phone to take a picture. When I first saw it you could see all the ripples of the sand dunes.

@bsag Not at all what I expected; lots of interesting “textures” and “squiggles” there.

@smokey There was a more sand dune-y bit, but I missed that with my camera. This looked like the show reface of Mars to me.
