@jayeless oh cool! I didn’t know that linking to the syndicated copy would get me those webmentions! That’s fantastic. I didn’t want to be obligated to add the link to short status posts.
@smithtimmytim Yep, I felt the same way! If you add u-syndication
links to posts that didn't originally have them, I think you have to tell Bridgy to re-crawl (or use "Resend for post" for each specific post you added them to), but then after that they should come through.
@smithtimmytim Umm, to be clearer, I mean… if you go and edit an older post, and you add a syndication link like
(the link doesn't need text in it if you don't want), then you should go to your profile on Bridgy, copy the link of your edited post into the input box next to "Resend for post:" then press "Discover". Otherwise Bridgy won't know you added the link 🙂 For new posts, I think you get two hours to edit a link in (because if you're posting to your site first, you won't know what the link will be when you syndicate it to Twitter…) but if you take longer than that you can make Bridgy aware of it by using "Resend for post".
@jayeless omggg. I’m going to tinker with this tonight and tomorrow. Thank you!
