@kimberlyhirsh I did most of my growing up on the Gulf Coast, but moved to Nebraska right before high school. It wasn’t uncommon for one of my best friends to want to hang out in his back yard during the winter. It was something I had to get used to, but eventually did. I’ve found mentally embracing it helps too.
