Sometimes these winter days are perfect: glorious sun out of a clear blue sky. 20C, no wind. I can hear the birds. Just gorgeous.
@Miraz I have a much revised opinion about winter — that is: I’m loving it more every year! Complete opposite to when I moved to Australia from the tropics circa 10++ years ago.
@sim0ne Glad to hear it! Winter isn't always like this of course. August and September are likely to be basically horrible. But when we can catch this kind of day, it's great. 😁
@Miraz Oh, I'm envious! In Melbourne it's been horrible (close to or below freezing overnight) for weeks 😅
@jayeless Oh, we've had some fierce frosts and cold nights. It's just sometimes we have these splendid days too. And you have a cold place you live in, don't you?
@Miraz You do have to savour those occasional nice winter days 😄 Our place is pretty cold, and nearly all the windows are south-facing or heavily shaded (or both), so what winter sun we do get doesn't get much chance to warm up inside. Plus, even the daytime temperatures have been colder than usual lately 😕 I believe the temperatures are supposed to get back to winter normals soon, though.
