Hmm, I guess my inherited iPad isn’t going to get IPadOS 13 - I didn’t think it (a 5th gen Air) was all that old really but I guess technology moves fast.

@scoblitz Do you mean it's not possible or that you'd rather not risk it due to problems (I've noticed some people are having issues)?

@simonwoods I don't think it's possible - although the update pages on external sites are a bit confusing. Would it come as a regular update or do I need to do something to initiate the upgrade?

@scoblitz It should come through automatically, I think as a notification but you can also check for it in: Settings -> General -> Software Updates.

The Apple preview lists the 5th generation iPad so it ought to work. However, I've noticed there's generally a lot of ifs, buts, and maybes with all of the iOS updates at the moment so I think things are generally inconsistent between devices, regions, and such like.

@simonwoods It's odd, it says gen 5 but not the Air, but the gen 3 Air is compatible so not sure why the 5 wouldn't be. It's not coming up as an update when I check for them but I’ll give it some time. I don't much use it so am more curious about new features than I am for productivity gains or anything else. thanks so much.
