Here are some non-mainstream apps for iOS I recommend: Wacht, Soulver, NetNewsWire (open beta), RadarScope, Drafts, Jumbo, Wipr, Toolbox Pro.

Wipr and 1Blocker are VERY different. Wipr is just for ads and tracking and has no setting whatsoever. Kind of install and forget. I used 1Blocker for a while, but I get basically the same results with less hassle with Wipr. Especially now that whitelisting is a system feature.
