@chrisd Good point, something I’ve been thinking about, especially with the NOAA/National Weather Service being targeted for job cuts. I don’t really mind if they cater an extra sandwich or two for lunch, the utility of knowing a tornado is down the street or a hurricane is about to smack me in the face far outweighs whatever is lost from “waste”.

Also, not that austerity isn’t worth discussing IMO, none of these cuts are going to put a dent in the overall deficit so long as entitlements are not reformed.
