Today I did a 3.5 Km loop walk along the river to the bridge, past the college and back down Tamure Place.

I stopped to take a photo of a layered Manuka across the river.

@Miraz I thought at first a Layered Manuka was a bird, couldn’t find it, then I looked it up to enhance my pattern recognition. A fire adapted plant native to New Zealand! Must be the red flowering one.

@rpmik Oops, sorry. 😀 It’s not the plant with the red in it, but the plant beside that one, with some seemingly dead branches and some greenery.
