I never thought I'd say this, but I need a longer commute! I can get a lot done on a tram with a 10.5" iPad Pro, Smart Keyboard, and cellular data! 🚃 🤓

@rosemaryorchard it's so capable. I love using mine. Main reason my next computer will be an iMac, I don't need a laptop for portability anymore.

@apulianas I just love that I can use it in my lap easily. I can pull it out and get typing, and just close it as I get off the tram! I do have a MacBook Pro (because sometimes I do need a Mac to be portable), but mostly it stays at home!

@rosemaryorchard My commute would be no use to you then. It's about 12-15 minutes by bus!

@Eyebee Mine is a 10 minute walk followed by a ~10 minute tram journey!

@rosemaryorchard when i was younger i had a 1-1½ hour train ride on the way home. i couldn't do every type of work — but i found the limitations inspired me to focus on specific tasks. i kind of miss it in a weird way. maybe i'm ready for office-life again? strange.

@isaiah I wouldn't want that long a commute. But half an hour wouldn't be too bad - I'd have more time to get things done that's for sure!

@rosemaryorchard it was a long commute. but not both ways, strangely. in a mystery of trains, the ride in was only 15 min., averaged out, not so bad.

and it was a different time. very few people had mobile phones. trains were peacefully disconnected from the world outside.
