Goal: be able to update a DRAFT micro.blog post (for my blog) throughout the day using any of Android/iPhone/web (Chromebook). Then when I am done, publish the post.

Is this doable?

And is there a setting to limit non-blog posts (such as this) to appear only on my timeline?

@ronkjeffries You should be able to edit a draft post throughout the day. Just make sure save it as a draft post each time before you switch devices.

You can limit posts that go on the timeline but it’s a multi step process. An easy way is to set up a blog category for posts you want on the timeline (I’ve used “timeline” in the past) then edit the sources under “micro.blog/account/f…” to remove your blog and add back the feed for the category you set up. Usually “username.micro.blog/categorie…” replacing your username and category name. Then whenever you want a post to appear on the timeline just add it to your category.

@heyloura try #2 Thanks for your help! I assumed nobody would respond but you did. I do see how to edit a draft from web on my Chromebook but not aware of a solution on iPhone or Android.

@ronkjeffries Yeah, it’s a bit hidden in the micro.blog android app (only have android so maybe someone else can speak up abot iOS). Click you avatar, then posts, then on the right the drafts button. To create a draft, make a post, then click the gear icon at the bottom, then hit “Save as draft”

@ronkjeffries A mobile screen displays a list of code snippets and dates in a drafts section of a platform called heyloura.com. It should be at the top, next to the search button. However, maybe it doesn’t show if you don’t have drafts? Verify you have one and then look

@heyloura yes it only appears afternoon has created a draft. The draft concept seeks to not be surfaced normally which confused me.

That’s for your help.
